Vayam Ayurveda Skin Calming Soap free Face Powder Review

Purplle has divided its in-house brands to cater to different consumers. There's the affordable, the luxe, the ayurveric and the chemical based ones. Of all the several products that I tried from various categories, Vayam Ayurveda was clearly a favourite. Quite a few of the products seemed to work really well with my skin. So I picked up Mridul Skin Calming Soap free Face Powder without a second thought. Also because I assumed it was a dupe of Kama Ayurveda Mridul Face Cleansing Powder.

Key Ingredients - Cedarwood Powder, Castor Oil, Arjoon Powder, Bentonite Clay, Kaolin Clay, Manjitha Powder, Dried Rose Petal Powder, Tesu Flower Powder, Almond Powder, Sandalwood Essential Oil, Turmeric Powder.

Retails for INR 225 for 50 gm

Whoever named this "Mridul" (sanskrit for soft/gentle) ought to get his brain checked. This is a super coarse powder which is far from mridul.

If you have struggled with mixing bentonite clay into a decent mask, this one will give you nightmares. It just does not want to mix. At least not without a fight.

This one cleans my skin very well without leaving it dry like besan sometimes does. I'm assuming that's because of the Castor oil

The ingredients are all amazing & you can pretty much get it at flat 50% off all the time.

How I worked around the problem was by grinding the mixture again to make a smoother powder. It still doesn't mix easily but at least it's not scratching my face.

It comes with a wooden spoon(not in picture) to help scoop out product.

It is a decent product, I just wish it were ground smoother.
