I've been putting off doing a proper empties post from quite some time now. Somehow something or the other would crop up & empties would go on the back burner. Here I am finally doing a collective 6 months empties. To be honest, I've not used up a lot of products. Anyhow here's the list

Silk Berry Hand & Body Moisturizing Lotion in Rose & Honey

I first saw this brand online & bought a bunch of products. Decent lotion, very light weight & non- greasy. Apt for summers. Not buying again.

Palmolive Heavenly Vanilla Moisturizing Body Wash

INR 190 for 250 ml

Super creamy. I loved using this all through winter. Might repurchase.

VLCC Mulberry & Rose Fairness Face Wash

INR 150 for 150 ml

I really want to like this face wash because it does it's job well. But there is something utterly disconcerting about using a pink coloured rose face wash which smells like orange. And not any old orange, it smells like freshly squeezed orange juice. I love the fragrance, it just feels surreal that it's pink coloured. Got on a BOGO offer, still have one more to use.

Silk Berry Time- Control Facial Massage Creme in Cocoa & Chocolate

One more from the same brand. Fantastic, rich cream which doesn't leave your face greasy. I used it up as a body butter because it was too rich for my face.

Ponds Pure White Deep Cleansing Facial Foam

INR 35 for 20 gm

I hated this one from the bottom of my heart. It's way too drying even on my oily skin. Plus I simply hate the signature white beauty aroma. I'm even considering not buying the BB cream again simply because of the smell! Needless to say never buying ever again.

St D' vence Multani Lotion

I quite like this. This is not a lotion but actually a face pack. Confusing name eh? Might buy again.

Vedic Line Anti- Pigmentation Blend

I loved using this facial oil because of the smell- lavender & rosemary. But it does precious little for my skin. Will not be buying again but I am repurposing the bottle. Super cute.

Quite good for winters when I don't want my face to be extra dry. The fresh scent adds to the experience of using this face wash. Will be buying again come winter.

Patanjali Anti-Dandruff Hair Cleanser

I bought this by mistake thinking it was the regular Kesh Kanti one. I hated the Arnica type homeopathy smell this one has. Not buying again.

Garnier Ultra Blends Royal Jelly & Lavender

I've fond memories of using Ultra Doux back in my college days. The only shampoo which helped with my frizzy hair was the one with walnut extract (or so they claimed! ). This one came in a similar packaging & had my favorite lavender scent. Simply loved it! Will be buying a different variant next time.

Health & Glow Cocoa Body Butter

Where do I begin with this one! Nothing seems to be working for this product except for the gorgeous cocoa butter smell. It does not spread or even absorb on my skin. After an eternity of rubbing into skin, it somehow forms a tight layer on my skin which is far from moisturizing. Hated it! Never buying again.

Hello all & welcome to yet another edition of empties. I've been doing a collective empties post for 2 months from sometime & I am thrilled with the number of empties generated. I even have a makeup empty which is not a mascara this time around! Let's get started

Biocare Papaya Gel

INR 200 for 500 ml

I bought this a long time ago to use as moisturizer during summer. Bad move as it smells very masculine & I totally hated it. Plus at 500 ml, it seemed like I just couldn't see the bottom of this huge jar. How proud am I on finishing this! Definitely no repurchase.

Aloe Veda Activated Charcoal Deep Pore Detox Face Wash (Sulphate Free)

INR 210 for 100 ml

I had bought this when I was going through a charcoal phase. It somehow lathers really well despite being sulphate free & the zesty lemon scent gives a boost of energy. I'm not too picky about face washes being SLS free- I mean they barely stay on your skin for 2 minutes- but if you are then definitely pick this.

Vedic Line Papaya Bio Gel Serum

INR 200 for 65 ml

Stellar product- it deserves a review of it's own. I like everything about it except for its scent. Definite repurchase.

Nature's Essence Bridal Glow Pack

I bought it simply because it had Rose written on it. I avoid buying clay based masks because I feel that I can simply DIY better ones in the comfort of my home. I did notice a subtle glow post usage but no repurchase.

Patanjali Amla Hair Oil

This has got to be the cheapest & thinnest oil I've ever used. I added equal amounts of coconut & castor oil to it because I just don't like using thin oils. Works well but nothing spectacular. No repurchase

Kamadhenu Laboratories Kumkumadi Oil

I doubt if this is Kumkumadi oil as it smells very strongly of turmeric. It even leaves a yellow tinge behind. No way in hell!

March & April Empties

Hello all, I've managed to finish relatively less number of products as compared my previous posts; mainly because I've been travelling quite a bit. Anyhow, let's get on with the empties.

Khadi Herbal Shampoo with Vanilla and Honey

I really enjoyed using this shampoo & this has got to be the best smelling shampoo I've ever used from Khadi Herbals. It's got Rockside Laboratories written on the side which makes me wonder if this is manufactured separately. Looking forward to repurchasing.

Patanjali Divya Badam Rogan Almond Oil

My second bottle of this oil which should tell you how much I love it. I've switched over entirely from Dabur Rogan Badam Shireen to this one. Will be repurchasing after I whittle down my stash.

Vedic Line Lavender Gloss Serum

I really want to like this product but it gives a very shiny look on my oily skin. Maybe that's what they mean when they say "Gloss Serum". I can see this working amazingly well on people with dry skin. Despite the soothing fragrance, no repurchase.

Brihans Green Leaf Aloe Face Wash Gel

I loved the effect of this face wash though it doesn't remove makeup at all- not even compact. It somehow didn't break me out even though it didn't clean as well as I wanted it to. What gets annoying after a point, is to scoop out the product with your hands EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Will repurchase if the packaging is changed.

Nature's Essence Walnut Foot Scrub

This was part of a Manicure & Pedicure kit which I got as a free gift with purchase. It's so mild, ain't nobody's foot getting scrubbed with this thing. I used it on my face & it provided mild exfoliation at best. Also, it's a gel scrub & doesn't get washed away easily. It smells amazing like all Nature's Essence products but no repurchase.

Cemera Cuticle Oil Polish Cleanser

I bought this thinking it was from V.O.V. Quite similar but leaves a white residue on nails after removing polish. No repurchase.

Oh God! Where do I begin? Nothing works in this product. It does not control sweat. Nor does it deodorize. And the tube packaging has got to be the worst one I've ever seen. I'm all for innovative packaging but not when it makes using the product that much more difficult. Hated this one. Going back to my trusted Sure Anti- perspirant. Am so glad I didn't buy several of these as I usually do.

Nivea Lip Butter in Caramel Cream

I've been using this as a night lip balm for well over a year & yet it was showing no signs of finishing. By the time I finished using this, even an ardent caramel lover like me hated the smell of it. One more thing I'm glad I didn't buy several of. Definitely something to be said for restraint while buying new products, eh? No way in hell!

Do you track your empties? Does it help in curbing excess shopping? It works for me till I reach the last face wash et al....then I go on a mad spree & stock everything back up. Sigh!
